Child Friendly Gyms and Fitness Facilities in Brisbane

by Sophie Cannon (follow)
Welcome to another article in our 'Useful Lists' series - this week on the discussion group we wanted to find out what you thought were some of 'Brisbane's Most Child Friendly Gyms and Fitness Facilities'?

We asked and you answered!

Our lists are continually updated and cover the best places for kids and parents across Brisbane, however we are aware that this list doesn't include all the great services on offer, but it's a great place to start! Remember to always do your own research and make sure the service meets your personal needs.

Fernwood Fitness, Various Locations
Fitting in trips to the gym when you have young children can often be challenging to say the least, so Fernwood Fitness have equipped some of their gyms with kids play rooms and qualified childcare staff, so little ones can have playtime whilst mum gets a workout.

"Fernwood Carindale have a great play area for kids that's $4 for up to 2 hours. My daughter loves it!" - BMG Member

Check if your local Fernwood Fitness Club has childcare facilities here.

Be in Blossom Baby Friendly Pilates

Be In Blossom, Chermside

Be in Blossom is a fitness facility that specialise in baby friendly pilates for mums and their little ones, so not only will you get your workout, you may meet some mummy and baby pals at the same time! The facility is also fully equipped with spaces for 'parking' prams, a parents room and various evening classes so you can work around your partner's timetable.

Newmarket Pool - image via weekend notes

Newmarket Pool, Newmarket
Newmarket Olympic pool is child friendly in every way. Not only are they home to a 25m heated kids pool, toddler pool and miniature water park with slides, but they also provide an on site creche for any mums who are looking to take part in their fitness classes. The creche hours run from 8:30am-11:30am and is just $5 for 1.5hours. Once you have finished your workout, why not take your little one for a swim or for a run around on the on site playground?

"They have classes and a very inexpensive crèche. And then you can use the heated pool with the kiddos afterwards!" - BMG Member

Please note that the Newmarket Pool complex will be closed from 18/06/2017-17/07/2017.

Go Mum Group Fitness

Go Mum Group Fitness, Enoggera & Arana Hills
Go Mum Group Fitness is paving the way when it comes to "child friendly" exercise, not only are both of their locations fully equipped with feeding and changing facilities, but Go Mum also invite you to bring children of any age along to their classes too - that's right, any age! Children can sit and watch the class from the sidelines, explore the toy box and enjoy morning tea or even join in with mum!

"Toddler and babies are welcome to all classes. Trainers really look after you and they give safe exercise options for post-natal recovery." - BMG Member

J-Fit Australia Mums and Baby Class

J-Fit Australia, Loganholme
Did you know that your pram is an awesome piece of exercise equipment? J-Fit does! Every Wednesday from 10:00am-10:45am, J-Fit run a mum and baby class at Shailer Pioneer Park. Little ones can help mum work out and enjoy the fresh air from the comfort of their own pushchair, and it's also a great social activity to help you meet other mums. Even better? The session costs just $5! What a bargain!

As always, we know that there must be so many more child friendly fitness facilities and gyms in Brisbane and we definitely want to hear about them! If you know of any other places that you think should have made the list then make sure to head over to our discussion group and leave us a comment to let us know!
