Love chocolate spreads but feel guilty that many typically have more sugar than hazelnuts? In fact, a major brand has just 13% nuts and a whopping 55% sugar! Maybe it should be called a sugar-spread!
Do you really want to be spreading sugar on your toast or sandwich? Is that really going to nourish your kids' mind and body?
The good news is that you can still have a taste of heaven without the guilt! This is a great little recipe which will have you coming back for more by the spoonful!
Ingredients: - 120g raw cashews
- 120g coconut milk
- 40g rice malt syrup
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- 1/4 cup raw cacao
Easy 3-steps: 1. grind the cashews as finely as you can
2. add the remaining ingredients and process in your mixer until well combined
3. dunk in your favourite fruits and veggie sticks
I think this is a lovely snack that not only provides decadence but is also jam packed with nourishing ingredients. Teamed with bite-sized pieces of fruit such as apples, grapes, strawberries and bananas or carrot and celery sticks, this ticks all the boxes.
