Advice Needed - Friend Early Miscarriage

Possible trigger warning.

Hi everyone, a close friend of mine has just had a miscarriage at seven weeks. It was her first attempt at getting pregnant and her first pregnancy also.

I'm looking for two bits of advice please.

Firstly, what would she be going through (physically and emotionally)? Is seven weeks early enough for the body to expel the baby naturally or would she need help, or a D&C or anything like that?

Secondly, what should I say to her to help her through this difficult time? I want to be supportive but I've never had a miscarriage so not sure exactly what she'd be going through or feeling.
