This takes your regular library rhyme time to the next level
I have always enjoyed taking my babies along to the library for Rhyme Time, so I was excited to discover Aqua Rhyme Time at Redcliffe Dolphins Health Precinct. What is even better, is that the pool is heated to a very enjoyable 33 degrees, making it a great year round activity.
Redcliffe Dolphins Health Precinct offers Aqua Rhyme Time on Wednesday mornings from 11:30am. The class emphasises social interaction through play, songs and fun in the water.
The program is open to children under two years of age and at only $5.50 a session, it is fantastic value. The session runs for thirty minutes and is lead by Austswim qualified teachers.
I enjoyed that we sung classic nursery rhymes with an aquatic twist to the lyrics. At the conclusion of the session parents are able to remain in the pool for some playtime with toys provided.
Classes can get quite large so it is good to arrive early ready to swim. I also suggest taking your pram to use as a change table as space is hard to come by at the end of the class.
A crèche is available if you have any older children you need to bring along, or if you decide to just pop over for a quiet dip yourself. While the class does not need to be booked ahead of time, you will need to do so for the crèche.
There is a cafe stocked with healthy treats, juices and coffee located nearby that offers a lovely venue for a catch up after class.
Location: Redcliffe Dolphins Health Precinct, Cnr Klinger and Ashmore Rd, Redcliffe
