It is the biggest public holiday of the year here in Australia so how will you be spending the day? Don't worry too much if you have got no plans as of yet because there are heaps of events going on in and around Brisbane for you to choose from!

1. Australia Day at Everton Park Hotel
Tuesday 26th January
Get down to Everton Park Hotel to enjoy a range of Aussie food specials and join in the fun with a family friendly Aussie Reptile show which kicks off from 11am. There is also a kids Lamington Eating Competition at 2.30pm.

2. Australia Day at Sandstone Point Hotel
Tuesday 26th January
Head to Sandstone Point Hotel for an afternoon of food stalls, slides, big pools, live music and entertainment. Exerpeince the 50m mega water slide, enjoy a lamington eating competition and watch the kangaroo relay while you munch on some aussie lamb.

Sunday 24th January
Head to the Wellers Hill Bowls Club for an afternoon of quality street food, live music, craft beer and a jumping castle for the kids.

5. Australia Day by the Bay Concert
Tuesday 26th January
Celebrate Australia Day with a concert at the Einbunpin Lagoon in Sandgate. There will be local talent, live music and food trucks.

6. Australia Day at the Bistro
Tuesday 26th January
Victoria Park Bistro has plenty for the whole family, with
a magician for the kids, live music, giant games and a jumping castle. And awesome food of course!

7. Aussie Arvo Pool Party
Tuesday 26th January
Enjoy a free pool party at the Lawnton Aquatic Centre with live music, poolside disco, free amusement rides, competitions and even a splash 'n' movie showing of Toy Story 4. There will also be a a sausage sizzle and snacks on offer.
