Family friendly events for Australia Day
Australia Day is coming up, and there is so much to see and do over the long weekend to celebrate with your family. Australia Day is on the 26th January, and then in true Aussie style, there is a public holiday on 27th January.

1. Australia Day at Southbank
Brisbane's premier destination of Southbank, will be having free live music on the green in the parklands. Enjoy the beautiful views on the lawn with your family, while feasting on delicious takeaway hampers from River Quay Fish, The Jetty, Popolo and Aquitaine. Live music will be playing from 2pm to 6pm.

2. A Very Special Australian Storytime
The Brisbane Square library will be having a free story time of Australian stories.

3. Australia Day in Redcliffe
Sutton's Beach in Redcliffe is hosting an idyllic Australia Day celebration that is both free to attend, and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Enjoy beach activities, live music, food trucks and even a Lamington eating competition.

4. Australia Day Kids Carnival at the Gap Tavern
The Gap Tavern is a family friendly favourite for Brisbane Mums, and this Australia Day they are hosting a kids carnival. There will be face painting, balloon twisters and a jumping castle on the kids deck. As well as the regular awesome food on offer.

5. Australia Day on Bribie Island

6. Australia Day Carpark at Club Ipswich
Club Services Ipswich is having an Australia Day Carpark party. There will be a live grunt rock band, food and drink stalls, a jumping castle, face painting, petting zoo and a pie eating competition.
