The Very Hungry Caterpillar brought to life

Bribie Island Butterfly House is a place to see hundreds of spectacular butterflies flying around you.

Open Sundays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm, it is a truly unique experience and great place to visit with the kids. It is a not-for-profit, community project that provides a peaceful sanctuary for this magnificent creatures and for its visitors.

Visitors can enjoy a unique view into the breeding laboratories, before making their way through a glass tunnel and into an oasis to be surrounded by butterflies.







The Bribie Island Butterfly House is a great place to sit back and be surrounded by colour, children love to be transported into another world.

Location: 208 First Avenue, Bongaree
Opening Hours: 10am to 4pm Wednesday and Sunday
