Are you looking to find a new hobby, to reignite that creative spark, and to make new friends?
The Brisbane Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Brisbane mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
During this 3 hour class at a cafe in the West End or Clayfield, you'll be guided by professional instructors Chinta or Rhonda, who can help you learn from scratch if you're a beginner. They also host a range of workshops for the more experienced to try and learn new skills. Each workshop focusses on a different type of stitch.
The beginners class is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn the crochet basics and terminology and we'll get you started on your very own granny square.
Those who have done the beginners class or have prior experience with crocheting can come along to the Crochet Stitches Class, Corner to Corner Class (C2C) or Grantastic Square Class and learn how to make three amazing crochet stitches; Puff, Shell and V-Stitch.
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small cute creatures. It's the latest craze in the crochet world!
Learn step by step with our Instructors on the basics of Amigurumi and start on an easy project during the class. Classes are $65 per person.
You are also most welcome to bring your baby and toddlers along (or not!) if they are happy to sit and entertain themselves.
All our classes include crochet materials and instruction as well as a non-alcoholic drink during the class.
All mums with an interest in crochet (whether you have been to a meetup or not) are also invited to join the Brisbane Crochet Club Facebook Group where you can share your crochet projects, find inspiration, make mummy friends, and also just have a good yarn!
Do you want to learn how to knit? Or have recently started and would like to meet some new friends to share your creativity with, all while having a good chat? The Brisbane Knitting Club has classes for you!
