Our lists are continually updated and cover the best places for kids and parents across Brisbane, however we are aware that this list doesn't include all the great services on offer, but it's a great place to start! Remember to always do your own research and make sure the service meets your personal needs.
Tiny Twinkle Toes Ballet, North Lakes Making use of Australia's popular 'Kinder Ballet' drance program, Tiny Twinkle Toes allows pre schoolers to use their imagination and be creative, all whilst practicing the traditional skills of classical Ballet.

There are 3 different classes on offer at Tiny Twinkle Toes; 'Mummy and Me', a 30 minute class that allows mum to join in and enjoy the class with their little one. 'Tiny Tot', Little ones can follow the adventures of Bella Ballet Bear and her friends in this 35 minute class. And finally, the 'Kiddies' class, designed for children aged between 5 and years, these classes run on a Wednesday afternoon and run for an hour. The skills and routines are a little more complex, aiming to prepare your little ballerinas for the next level of dance.

Premier Dance Academy, Milton The Premier Dance Academy caters for children from the age of 2.5 years, right up to adult classes. There are a range of different dance styles on offer including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary, as well as Musical Theatre classes.

Established in 1994, Premier Dance Academy is highly rated by some of our Brisbane mums and promises to benefit your child by helping them to develop self discipline, poise, presentation, co ordination and self confidence. Classes can cost anywhere between $150 - $250 for the full term, depending on class duration.

Spring Pointe, Various Northside Locations Spring Pointe is a 38 week, pre ballet program designed specifically for children aged 3-5 years. The curriculum is all about keeping the fun in dancing and focuses on play based movements, games and themes that not only motivate children to want to come back the following week, but also make them excited to do so.
Classes are run at various locations on Brisbane's Northside including The Gap, Newmarket and Samford. You can check out a full timetable and further venu details here. A 10 week term for children aged 3-4 will cost you $140, aged 4-5 would be $150 per term.

Chrystal Lee School of Dance, Burpengary Established in 2015, the Chrystal Lee School of Dance aims to provide its students with a safe and fun environment and classes that not encourage confidence, exploration, creativeness and mind and body awareness through movement.

The school really does cater for all ages, they even have a specialised Baby Dance program for little ones aged up to 18 months. They also focus on a range of different dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatic Arts, Hip Hop and loads more. Bayside Dance, Wynnum Another popular recommendation from some of our Mums was Bayside Dance in the Wynnum/Manly area. They offer a range of different dance classes and creative experiences for all ages. From tiny tots to adult movement, Bayside Dance hope to encourage enjoyment of dance through creativity, strong technical training and a nurturing environment.
There are various dance classes on offer, as well as school holiday workshops. Fees are dependant on age and the amount of weeks within a particular term, for prep ages you can expect to pay up to $120 per term, kids and teens up to $155 per term and adult classes are conveniently run on a casual basis at $18 per class.

Grange Dance, Grange One of our newer schools, Grange Dance began in June 2016 with the hope of teaching and inspiring local children to develop a love of dance. You can choose from 4 different styles of dance here, Ballet, Modern, Tap and Jazz and ages start from 3 years onwards.
Classes are run in various locations in the heart of Grange and term fees are based on class duration, the minimum being 30 minute classes at $110 per term (10 weeks) and maximum being 90 minute classes at $200 per term.

Kinder Ballet, Various Locations Kinder Ballet is one of Australia's most popular dance programmes and is taught at hundreds of locations right across the country. The program is specifically created for preschoolers and fully allows children to enjoy to experience of ballet from a young age.
Classes are set around the adventures of Bella Ballet Bear, enabling little ones to learn through play and gain basic classical ballet skills in an imaginative way. You can check here to find a class near you- there's sure to be one close by!

NY Dance, Raceview NY Dance pride themselves on being a dance school that does not put pressure on busy family lives and children can attend as little as once per week and still reap all the benefits, including participating in the end of year shows. Another unique feature of the school is that they do not participate in eisteddfod or examinations, they simply teach in a supportive environment and encourage everyone to do their best.
There are a range of classes on offer at NY Dance including tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, adult burlesque plus many more. Students range in age from 9 months to adults, and they even have awesome 'Mummy, Daddy and me' classes.

Superstars, Various Locations Founded in 2003, Superstars believes that every child is unique and has different learning needs so therefore they focus on each child's individual development rather than rigorous rote-learning routines. They were never going to be a school that focused more on make up, expensive costumes or strict performance mandates, instead Superstars has always been about celebrating personal potential.
Classes are run at two locations, Carina Heights and Coorparoo, and students can start from a young as 2.5 years. There are a range of class types on offer; jazz, tap, ballet, cheerleading, hip hop and irish dancing, as well as musical theatre and drama.
