A list of the best places in Brisbane to take your family for a juicy burger

How fun are burgers for a family meal? Perfect for picky eaters as they can be taken apart and reassembled with only the best bits. Everyone has a favourite burger. You can go the traditional cheeseburger. Maybe a chicken burger is more your thing. Or a delicious veggie burger.

Brisbane has some truly delicious burger places to choose from. Here is my list of the top places. This is sure to be heavily contested, as burger lovers are a loyal bunch and I am sure you have your favourite picks.

Because I know we are all adventurous and often have to eat the same food over and over again because that's what our kids like, I have included the weirdest sounded burger from each place for the adults to try. Go on, live dangerously.

1. Betty's Burgers and Concrete Co

With a 50's retro theme, Betty's Burgers are all throughout Australia, and there is good reason these guys are so popular. With incredible classic American style burgers, they are famous for their house-made frozen custards or “concretes

Try this burger, I dare you: Shroom Burger. Crisp fried mushrooms filled with melted Gouda and Gruyére cheese, lettuce, tomato and Betty’s special sauce

2. Ben's Burgers

This would not be a list of the best burger places without mentioning Ben's Burgers. Cheap yet absolutely delicious, burger's are simple yet you are able to customise with the incredible added extras.

Try this Burger, I dare you: Classic Burger. Beef, cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayo. Add some extras to make this special. Candied bacon and jalapenos with a side of chilli fries.

3. 5 Boroughs

I was so blown away by this delicious place, I would stack it up against the burger and bbq I had while travelling around Texas. Delicious delicious delicious.

Try this burger, I dare you: BBQ Pork with Crispy Onions. BBQ pork rib, brisket jus, house made slaw & crispy onions.

4. Da Burger

With an emphasis on using fresh and local produce, the family owned and operated Da Burger, is all about using simple ingredients to make incredible burgers that taste amazing and will make you feel good from the inside.

Try this burger, I dare you: Sunday Roast. Lamb patty, red onion jam, smoked streaky bacon, sweet potato medallions, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mint sauce, smokey BBQ sauce and mayo.

5. Just Poppy's

At Just Poppy's, I come for the burgers, but I stay for the beer battered chips and potato scallops. These are definitely burgers with serious attitude, tucked away in River Hills.

Try this Burger, I dare you: Flood It. Meat pattie, egg, bacon, pineapple, cheese, mushies, avocado, halloumi, grilled, onion, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, sauce.

6. Burger PL8

Another amazing burger place tucked away in a shopping centre. Burger PL8's handmade burgers are mouth watering and will have you coming back again and again.

Try this Burger, I dare you: Scotch Fillet Steak Burger. Cheese, steak, cooked onions, beef slaw and mustard mayo.
