Honest Food across from the waterfront and a playground
As I continue to explore the beautiful northern baysides of Brisbane, I have come across the hidden gem of Butcher Baker Coffeemaker at Woody Point.
With stunning views of the bay, the staff welcomed my husband, toddler and I with welcoming smiles and made a big fuss over our toddler so we felt really comfortable dining there. There is ample seating inside the cafe, or there is seating out the front or down the side with a little space for a toddler/baby to be out of a provided high chair.
If you need some time out from the kids over the weekend, want to enjoy a bit of adult conversation and a relaxed tour of the city, Brisbane Food Safari Club has a new experience starting in July.
The food is honest and beautiful, with lots of bagel options and we had an excellent breakfast with a side of incredible coffee and a banana smoothie for our toddler. They also serve lunch and an all day "little people" menu which includes eggs, toasties, waffles and burgers. My toddler LOVED his ham and cheese toastie, especially the fresh off the bone ham.
After your breakfast, you can head straight across the street to the excellent Woody Point Playground which has a massive flying fox, pirate ship, swings and a variety of spinning and rocking play equipment. There is a big cover to protect from sun and lots and lots of picnic tables and some barbecues if you are looking to set up for the day.
Butcher Baker Coffeemaker is also right across from Woody Point Pier where you can go fishing and have a lovely walk before having a play or a kayak on the rocky waterfront. It makes for a lovely half day family experience.
