Cafe Diversity - Redcliffe

by Sally Foster (follow)
Fully enclosed play in a beautiful setting

Cafe Diversity is located in the beautiful bayside suburb of Redcliffe, a stones throw from the free outdoor lagoon and across the road from pristine views.

Whenever I am looking to meet friends or family for breakfast or lunch either during the week or on the weekend, if it is a beautiful day outside, Cafe Diversity is one of my favourite meeting up points. The reasons? It is run by friendly staff, the food is exceptional, the decor flawless and they are very kid and toddler friendly.

First of all, the children's play area is incredible. An enclosed oasis, chocked with good quality toys and ipads on the walls, this is one of the best children's play areas I have seen yet. It is tucked right up the back inside so you can choose a table nearby without having to worry about your little humans running away.

The play area also has an arcade game and a couple of ride alongs. You can shut the gate so your little ones can't escape, but it is still in full view of the inside of the cafe so you can keep a watchful eye on them if you need to.

Once your kids are sorted in the play area, you can get down to the business of eating. Cafe Diversity has just that, a really diverse and beautiful menu. From breakfast classics to truly unique taste explosions, their seasonal menu is fresh and always presented with so much care that you really know they want you to have a full sensory experience.

Some of the current menu items include Korean Scrambled Eggs with Korean spiced tofu, kimchi, chard corn salsa on dark rye, with charred lime and Nutritious Pancakes made using banana flour topped with fresh berries, house made berry compot, coconut cream, cointreau berry-coconut “nice cream”, roasted almonds, toasted pistachio, cacao puffed rice and toasted marshmallows. YUM!

The Asian Street Food tour of Brisbane will introduce you to a variety of delicious Asian food, including Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino.
The Brisbane Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Brisbane mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
Their breakfast menu is all day and they also have a lovely lunch menu. They are inspired by international cuisines around the world, so no boring food here. You can have Sri Lankan Curry, Mexican chicken tacos, pork belly bao buns or local fish and chips.

Cafe Diversity also has a seperate kids menu with loads of options. My toddlers favourite is the bento box filled with an assortment of fruit, cheese and crackers, as well as the kids healthy pancakes. The portions are also big for kids, so you can polish off what they don't eat.

If you are looking to hold your next special occassion at Cafe Diversity, they have a range of function packages, including packages for kids birthday parties. I have chosen to have my sons second birthday party here.

After a wonderful breakfast or lunch, you can take in everything that the suburb of Redcliffe has to offer. On the weekend there are markets or you can head to Suttons Beach, the lagoon or one of the great playgrounds. If you are looking for inspiration on a Day out in Redcliffe, check out this article.

Location: 75 Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe
Parking: There is limited street parking but many parking lots situated close to the venue or along the promenade. My favourite place to park is behind Beegee Way as it is plentiful on the weekend.
