If you're on the lookout for a new park this weekend, put Capalaba Regional Park on your list! As one of the, if not the best park in the Brisbane South Area, this hidden gem is an all abilities playground which features loads of space and activity options all in the one location.

Playtime
The all ability, all age playground has heaps of different play equipment including a musical forest, totem pole maze, flying fox, liberty swing and loads more. Kids will be able to spend hours upon hours running, swinging, sliding, climbing, playing, singing, and dancing all in the one large complex, which is surrounded by huge grassy areas perfect for settling down with a delicious picnic.

The whole park is well thought out and each climbing area is not only well spaced from others but is also atop of either soft flooring, bark chips or sand in order to minimise injury from any falls. The park, as well as the surrounding areas are perfectly kept and wonderfully colourful and picturesque making Capalaba Regional Park a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

One, Two, Barbecue!
On the top level of the park, overlooking the majority of all the play areas sits the main entertainment area, which is home to a number of electric BBQ's, sheltered areas and tables. A short distance from this is where toilet facilities are located, which are also wheel chair accessible.

The large BBQ area really is the perfect place to host a birthday party or special family occasion- grab a burger and socialise, all whilst still being able to keep an eye on the kids.

Doggy friendly
Capalaba Regional Park really is suitable for all of the family and that includes your four legged companions! With a large, fenced, off leash area on site, dogs are able to socialise with each other and get their necessary exercise whilst owners take a break from the sun in the sheltered seating area.

Leashed pups are also welcome in other areas of the park, including the large number of walking paths and wooded areas that run around the perimeter of the play parks. Numerous doggy drinking spots are dotted within each area as well as water fountains for owners, allowing everyone to stay hydrated in the summer months.

Wildlife
You'll be sure to see plenty of wildlife at Capalaba Regional Park, especially in the two large park lagoons which are not only home to a number of ducks, but also turtles and eels as well. Kids will love to come here, feed the ducks, fish and explore.

Both of the lagoons are fenced off from the main playground and are linked by pathways which are littered with benches and tables. Don't feel like a BBQ? Why not pack a picnic and once play time is out of the way, enjoy a relaxed lunch away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by beautiful views and natural wildlife.

On top of all that..
If all of this wasn't enough to tempt you, every Saturday morning, weather permitting, Capalaba Park opens it doors to Go Kart Wild, a "Brisbane based Pedal Go Kart hire company which specialises in FUN!" The company brings along a number of both solo and double seated karts ready for hire for those wanting to explore the parkland areas in style. Ride around the long, winding pathways which surround the perimeter of the entire park, take in the beautiful views and enjoy an adventure with the kids.
