Grab your diary and take a peek at the 1st of December 2022 at 5:00 pm. Do you have plans? You do now. Schedule some singing, dancing, and a very impressive Christmas Golf Cart Buggy Parade.

The Sanctuary Cove Christmas Concert and Buggy Parade is a popular treat with the locals and their extended families. Not only is the weather beautiful for a night concert, but the ability to lounge around on the grass, surrounded by great food outlets, and overlooking some of the most incredible boats you will see, will bring a smile to every face. My family and I are approaching our fifth year this year and the kids are more than excited. It's a great family-friendly chance to dress up in your best Christmas frock and enjoy the lushness that is Sanctuary Cove!

We have taken fold-out chairs in past years. This would be handy if you have family members who will be sitting still. Yet, with my three kids zipping around and dancing, I have given up on chairs and instead opt for the picnic rug. It amazes me each year how so many people can fit on the lawn in front of the stage without it feeling overcrowded. The stage is big and the grounds are flat so no matter where you end up, you will be able to watch on without too much in your way.

Santa will make an appearance on stage. There are prizes on offer from the MC. The artists are fabulous and return each year, sprinkled with some new faces. It is an easy walk (and pram ride) from the generous car park to the concert lawn, and if you get there early enough, you are a chance to grab an upfront spot which will enable you to participate in everything. The stage will come to life at 5:00 pm while it's still light, but as night falls and we approach 6:30 pm, the decorated golf buggies will start their parade.

If you haven't been to a buggy parage before, this year is a great time to change that. Run by Rotary, the buggy parade will have the little ones bouncing around as Santa and Reindeers and famous cartoon characters poke out from the back of a golf buggy or two. Some buggies are lit up with enough lights to trigger a migraine, while others leave a trail of lollies or bubbles behind. Some have their own music and some will leave you wondering how many hours of work have gone into their creation. It is a lot of fun for big and small Christmas lovers.

See you at the Sanctuary Cove marina at the main stage at 5:00 pm on the 1st of December!
