With the hot weather set to rein itself in this weekend and thunderstorms and showers forecast for Sunday, what better way to spend your time then catching a movie at your local cinema?
This weekend is the start of Event Cinemas "Disney Princess Film Festival" which is set to run over the next four weekends, from 18th February to 12th March at various Event and BCC Cinemas across Brisbane. And the best part? It's just $8 per ticket, bargain!
Here's a rundown of the four movies that will be showing during the festival:
The Brisbane Crochet Club meets fortnightly to learn crochet, meet other Brisbane mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
Cinderella (Live Action Version) Various times and locations, Saturday 18th Feb & Sunday 19th Feb. Originally released in 2015, Cinderella is a live action retelling of the original Disney classic and features a star studded cast- including the amazing Helena Botham Carter as the Cinderella's fairy godmother.
Tangled Various times and locations, Saturday 25th Feb & Sunday 26th Feb. Based on the classic children's story, Rapunzel, Tangled tells the story of a Princess who has been locked in the tallest tower by evil Mother Gothel with no way of getting down. A true fairytale classic, with an all star cast and picture perfect animation.
Sleeping Beauty Various times and locations, Saturday 4th March & Sunday 5th March. An oldie but a goodie! Sleeping Beauty is the tale of Princess Aurora and the evil fairy Maleficent. Based on the well known Brothers Grimm fairytale, Sleeping Beauty is what we call old school Disney- stunning illustrations, memorable characters and songs that you'll be humming for days after.
The Little Mermaid Various times and locations, Saturday 11th March & Sunday 12th March. The little mermaid has to be one of the most well loved animated Disney films of all time! Ariel is a mermaid who longs to be human and experience what it's like to live on land and is willing to do whatever it takes no matter what the consequences. With awesome characters and a killer soundtrack, this is the perfect movie to see with your little ones.
The Film Festival is the perfect, budget friendly day out for any little Princess or Prince and as well as the movie itself, there will also be colouring pages and fun activities happening in the foyer before each showing, all inclusive within the ticket cost.
