Enjoy a drink or a meal while your kids play

Pubs or Taverns in Brisbane are a great place to enjoy a good hearty meal in a warm, relaxed atmosphere and many are very family friendly.

The best part about going to a pub or tavern is they often have cheap meal deals, so they can be a budget friendly option as well.

Here are a few we have found in Brisbane that will make for a great family pub lunch or dinner. All have come recommended by other Mums of Brisbane Mums Group.

1. Redland Bay Hotel, Redland Bay

Redland Bay Hotel has a an awesome outdoor, fully fenced playground surrounded by seating areas. They do $9 kids meals served with chips and salad and a drink.

2. The Red Lion Hotel, Moorooka

The Red Lion hotel has some of the best pub food in Brisbane as well as a newly built indoor play area for the kids. Kids eat free on Sundays!

Location: 215 Beaudesert Rd, Moorooka

3. Everton Park Hotel, Everton Park

Everton Park Hotel has an awesome indoor play area fully equipped with arcade games, games consoles and even a couple of small rides, as well as an outdoor playground. You can eat and watch your kids play, plus they have steak specials on Monday and Parma specials on Tuesday.

4. Yeronga RSL, Yeronga

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week, the Yeronga RSL offers family-friendly dining with an on-site, indoor play area, perfect for keeping kids busy under the watchful eye of parents.

Location: Corner Fairfield Road and Kadumba Street, Yeronga

5. Mango Hill Tavern, Mango Hill

Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Mango Hill Tavern has a huge menu and a brilliant indoor and outdoor play area, which are fully fenced for peace of mind. The kids menu also has healthy options with vegetables and salad available.

6. Bellbowrie Tavern, Bellbowrie

The Bellbowrie Tavern prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere and have created an indoor play space, which includes a brightly coloured, tunnel playground to keep little ones entertained. They do $9 kids meals served with chips and salad and a drink.

7. The Gap Tavern, The Gap

Kids can enjoy an outdoor playground, arcade games and movies, as well as face painting every Friday and Saturday night. 'Pepe's Club 4 Kids' menu is $9 and includes a meal, side and drink and there's plenty to choose from.

8. Kedron Park Hotel, Kedron Park

Kedron Park Hotel is a local favourite with a fresh menu and an enclosed indoor play area for the kids. The kids menu is also really extensive so you will absolutely find something for picky eaters.

Location: 693 Lutwyche Road, Kedron Park

9. The Grand View Hotel, Cleveland

Not only does the Grand View Hotel offer up lots of tasty grub, there's also a small children's playground in the outdoor eating area. Based on the sand, kids can enjoy the climbing frame and slide all within the watchful eye of mum and dad. There's also a table tennis table to occupy older kids.

10. Carina Leagues Club, Carina

Home to the Kids Safari Club, Carina Leagues Club is the perfect place to dine out with the family. As well as being able to play on the outdoor playground, as part of the club, kids will also enjoy a range of activities including painting, dress up, playing on the Xbox and loads more.

11. Pineapple Hotel, Kangaroo Point

With a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere and a great enclosed and undercover playground for the kids, The Pineapple Hotel is recommended constantly on Brisbane Mums Group because of how wonderful it is for kids. They have a great kids menu and even gluten free options.

12. Victoria Park Bistro, Victoria Park

Victoria Park Golf Club is not only home to an awesome putt-putt course that the kids will love, but also a huge outdoor playground! The playground consists of a large wooden climbing frame, climbing nets, a slide, rock climbing wall and various imaginative play areas.

13. The Glen Hotel, Eight Mile Plains

The Glen Hotel is a fun, child-friendly venue with a fantastic kid's adventure playground complete with slide, tunnels, a cubby house ‘shop’, soft fall floor and tractor. They offer an all-day kids menu, highchairs and complimentary Busy Nippers activity packs to keep your little ones entertained for hours.

14. Tingalpa Hotel, Tingalpa

The Tingalpa Hotel caters for the whole family with their outdoor playground and indoor kids area, perfect for keeping children occupied. The menu covers all the usual 'pub grub' options that kids love and all come at a cost of $9.90, the best bit is that this also includes a kids activity pack, which is stocked with an activity book, colouring pencils, stickers and a small toy.

15. Samford Valley Hotel, Samford Valley

Samford Valley Hotel is set in the beautiful countryside of Samford, only a short drive from Brisbane's northside. Kid's can play on Krusty's playground in the backyard or alternatively they can hit the games room, which is fitted with Playstation Consoles and a DVD player so they can watch all their favourite cartoons.
