3 Easter themed family events around Brisbane 2018.
Easter is just around the corner. The Easter Bunny is getting his basket of eggs ready. The Easter decorations at the shopping centre finally make sense. I am already preparing myself for all the chocolate I am about to eat.
Chocolate aside, Easter means a lot of different things to different people. And there are plenty of events being held for Easter in Brisbane this year.
These are a few of the family friendly events that are being held:
Held in Teralba Park in Everton Park on Sunday 25th March, the Neighbour Day Easter Egg Hunt is in its ninth year of running. A massive easter egg hunt takes place for different age groups. This is a great idea for the younger kids as it can be quite overwhelming competing against the older kids for chocolate.
There is also face painting, egg and spoon and potato sack races, blow up soccer, and best of all, a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

Date and Time: Sunday 25 March 2018 9am to 12pm
Location: Teralba Park, 120 Pullen Road, Everton Park
Held at Bulimba Golf Club on Sunday 1st April, the Easter Sunday Celebrations has something for the little kids and the big kids. And by big kids, I mean parents.
For the little kids there is a jumping castle, easter egg hunts and egg and spoon race. For the big kids there is a Sunday Roast (YUM), live music, raffle and easter themed cocktails at the bar. Something for everyone! It is only fair after all.
Held at Wests Mitchelton RLFC on both Friday 30th and Saturday 31st March, the North Brisbane Easter Festival is a free and family friendly event.
With jumping castles, an inflatable soccer field, a petting zoo, a graffiti wall, face painting, balloon animals, food vendors, crafts, games and competitions, the festival is sure to be an awesome time for everyone.
Date and Time: Friday 30th and Saturday 31st March from 10am-7pm
There are lots more celebrations being held throughout Brisbane this year. Check out Event Brite for more events being held in your area.
None of these events take your fancy? Why not plan something of your own!
For my group of friends who all have kids, we are putting together an Easter Bunny Picnic. Similar to a Teddy Bear Picnic, all the kids will bring along a bunny, and we will have our own easter egg hunt and bring along a plate each to share.
