Once you hit a certain age and especially once you've had kids, New Years Eve plans change pretty dramatically. Long gone are the days of hitting your local bar or nightclub, spending way too much cash and not being able to get home due to lack of public transport.
If you ask me, New Years Eve with the family is the better and the much cheaper option so we've put together five of Brisbane's best, family friendly New Years Eve events for those of you looking for last minute plans.

The Lakeside shopping centre in Victoria Point will be hosting a big Summer Bash to celebrate the end of the year with an awesome high street market with over 60 stalls, live entertainment and heaps of great eats on offer.
