Harry Potter's Store of Requirement, Samford

by Sophie Cannon (follow)
Calling all little Brisbane witches and wizards!

Did you know that there is now a place in your great city where you can stock up on robes, wands, broomsticks and everything else you'll need for a term at Hogwarts?

Harry Potter's 'Store of Requirement'

Samford Village on Brisbane's north side, has just become home to The Store of Requirement, a Harry Potter themed store selling officially licensed merchandise from everyone's favourite world of magic.

Which house will you be sorted into?

Begin your visit by having a chat with the Hogwart's sorting hat (we're not even kidding!) and find out what house you belong in, are you brave like Gryffindor? Or maybe smart like Ravenclaw?

When you walk into The Store of Requirement, you could well have just walked off of Diagon Alley, there's the enchanted ceiling complete with floating candles, the Gryffindor common room couches where you can relax and take in your surroundings, or if you're brave enough why not pay a visit to Nagini's lair?

The perfect place for all of your wizardry supplies!

Make sure you have your money bags at the ready because you're going to need plenty of galleons with the range of HP goodies on offer. Cuddly figures, costumes, broomsticks, wands, toys, trinkets and a whole host of other 'wizarding wonderments' and collectables.

The Brisbane Crochet Club meets weekly to learn crochet, meet other Brisbane mums, and have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along!
You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April at New Farm Park.
The Store of Requirement is situated next door to the popular Samford Village cafe, The Flying Nun, so once you've bought everything on your Hogwarts list, why not head next door for a warm cup of joe and a cake?

We can't wait to see what else is to come.

This is definitely just the beginning for Australia's 1st dedicated Harry Potter shop, with rumours of expansions to happen over the coming months. Word of wizard is that delicious Butterbeer may one day be on the menu, as well as Harry Potter themed birthday parties (um hell yes!) Even Brisbane's muggles can't wait to see what's in store for our new favourite hangout.
