Hidden World Playground, Fitzgibbon

by reread (follow)
Located in Fitzgibbon, the Hidden World Playground looks just like a fairytale and is sure to spark every child's imagination! It's bright, colourful and well laid out, kids can have hours of fun here and really lose themselves, (literally, it's huge so keep your eye on them!)

This is another of Brisbane's 'great for all ages' playground. There are some nice high/challenging forts and ropes for the bigger kids, and also plenty of smaller, easy bridges for the little ones to enjoy.

The whole playground is built on sand, so be prepared to shake out everyone's pants before getting back in the car, and make sure to bring along the bucket and spades! Even with the pain-in-the-butt factor, having so much sand around ensures kids can play freely, with their parents happy in the knowledge that any trips or falls will have a soft landing.

Although the park is is fully fenced, the playground itself is surrounded by lots of open, grassy areas- perfect for mum and dad to sit back, relax and enjoy a picnic. Or if you're looking to escape the heat, there are also a number of sheltered picnic tables available.

The on site toilets are clean and well maintained and there's often a coffee cart stationed at the park, so you can get your caffeine fix and keep up with the kids!

There is lots of available parking and as the park is located on a dead end road, it's usually pretty safe and quiet (traffic wise).
