EquiTune have an adorable mini team of horses that are loveable, fun, cheeky and absolutely LOVE children!
Ground, liberty play, tricks & riding. Learn what is involved in owning your own horse! This is perfect for confidence building in a supportive environment, and allows families to experience all aspects of horse ownership before taking the leap themselves. All EquiTune ponies are competition standard and are perfect for children from ages 3 to 7 years.
Beginners are welcome and social distancing & covid regulations enforced.
Get their pony from the paddock (parents encouraged to get involved in all getting ready aspects, otherwise they can take a seat around the peaceful property with a cup of tea)
Haynet, unrug & groom
Ride with a coach (obstacle games, cover horsemanship aspects and more on the property, and once confident, straight into the reserve with horse tracks)
Feed their pony
Rug and pop their pony back out into the paddock
Why EquiTune? EquiTune specialise in Wellness through Horsemanship. They teach children to put the needs of the horse, and therefore others before their own and develop compassion and empathy. Children will learn the importance of discipline, respect and a range of additional skills in a caring and nurturing way. See the rewards of a happier and healthier child!
Health can be measured on many levels and horses are healthy for children in many ways. Most obviously, they provide a physical outlet. Between riding, grooming and hauling hay, horses are an excellent form of exercise. They also promote mental health, confidence, and help children overcome fear.
EquiTune also host show days for regular horse riders where everyone gets their ponies looking spectacular and demonstrates what they have been working on. Covid regulations willing, competitions also occur.

Parents are encouraged to get the pony ready with their child before lessons, however there are options if the parent would prefer to have some me time instead.
