The Ipswich Show Society, once known as the Ipswich Agricultural and Horticultural Society (imagine saying that three times fast), was officially born back on 14 March 1866. Fast forward to 1872, and they fancied a bit of a rebrand to the Queensland Pastoral and Agricultural Society. The first show took place in 1873 near the Bremer River, but they packed their bags and moved to Warwick Road in 1877, where they've been ever since, hosting more fun than a barrel of kangaroos.

These days, the Ipswich Show is sort of like the cherry on top of the year-round fun sundae. Attracting over 35,000 visitors each May, it's a popular affair for sure. But it doesn't stop there. The Society keeps the good times rolling with model expos that might just blow your mind, antique fairs that are older than your grandma, and Flyball Racing – yes, that's a thing. They've got a caravan park for road warriors (25 powered sites for your RVs), and when disasters strike, they even turn into an evacuation centre. So, whether you're looking for a day of fairground rides or just a good excuse to indulge in some fairy floss, the Ipswich Show has got you sorted from May 16 to 18, 2025.
