Take advantage of these Mum friendly activities
As a second time Mum with a five month old and a three year old, things can get pretty hectic once both kids are on the move. So on the days when it is just my baby and I, and before he starts to crawl and be on the loose, I am taking advantage of these fun things to do in Brisbane.
Mummart Sessions at Cork and Chroma
Cork and Chroma is a paint and sip studio, with locations in both West End and Southbank, that will give you a chance to explore your creative side. Their Mummart sessions are wonderful. They are $25 and you can bring along your baby.
My friend has done one with her baby in the carrier! He loved watching his Mum get creative and giggle along to her painting. They are a three hour session where you can come and go as you please, so you can relax and tend to your baby when needed. They are not suitable for toddlers though, best for babies in carriers, prams or on a playmat.

BYO Baby Tours at the Museum of Brisbane
The Museum of Brisbane offers guided tours with your baby under 18 months of their new exhibit New Women. It is a free tour from 11-11:30am, bookings are essential. The tour allows you to enjoy the exhibition while still having time to stop and chat, feed and cuddle your baby. Babies are welcome in slings, front packs and prams.

Kangatraining
Once you are ready to dip your toes into the fitness pond after having a baby, Kanga Training is an amazing place to start. With classes happening right across Brisbane, it is exercise where you get to wear your baby. Perfect for those of us who have little ones who just wanted to be cuddled all the time.
Kanga Training is a complete workout, focussing on cardio, flexibility and strength. The trainer will also focus on your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as correct posture, because as said above, your body goes through massive changes through pregnancy and childbirth.

Bring your Baby Movies
This is one activity I LOVE to do with my baby. You can sit in a nice, quiet and dark cinema with air conditioning and enjoy the latest blockbuster. All the while your little one feeds and plays. Bring Your Baby sessions at the movies are generally cheaper and have dim lighting. Best of all, there is no pressure if your baby starts to cry, as the cinema is just full of other parents with their babies.
