Kedron Park Hotel

by Sally Foster (follow)
Kids Eat Free Saturdays with every main meal

Finding a family friendly local is like finding a four leaf clover. Especially if there are great deals to make it budget friendly and has a kids play area so that you may be lucky enough to get some actual adult conversation in.

The Kedron Park Hotel is one of my favourite locals as it ticks all the boxes for a family friendly place to eat. Yummy food? Tick! Kids play area? Tick! Budget friendly? Tick tick tick.

Located on the corner of Kedron Park Road and Lutwyche Road, Kedron Park Hotel features a spacious steakhouse, traditional sports bar, function spaces and a gaming room. They are open 7 days a week from 10am to 4am, so you have lots of options for lunch or dinner.

The best part about any bistro is always the weekly specials. Kedron Park has a special every day of the week but the best ones for families would have to be kids eating free on Saturdays with each main meal. Its rare to get a special like this on a weekend, so we often like to take advantage. Especially as it can be such a waste to pay for a kids meal that barely gets eaten by my picky two year old! To check out the other specials and also the upcoming events see here.

The food is traditional pub food that is done well, including an extensive steak menu. The lunch menu is really well priced, starting from just $14 for a main, and the kids menu is bigger than what you would normally get. All kids meals are $7 and include fettucine bolognaise, steak, chicken nuggets and pizza and there are also plenty of drinks and desserts from $3.

There is a fully enclosed indoor kids play area with tunnels and slides that will keep them occupied while you finish your meal at a nearby table where you can keep an eye on them.
