Say bonjour Brisbane and embrace the best of French culture at the 3-day Le Festival from 5 to 7 July 2024.
Francophiles know that the country of France is considered the capital of style, prestige, and beauty and has and continues to lead the world in delectable cuisine, fine wines and art and culture.
Now a little slice of France is coming to Brisbane in the
Le Festival 2024 French festival featuring French cuisine, wines and champagnes, and much more.
In planning your visit, let's start with The French Market which will offer an array of specially selected French or French-inspired stalls. There will also be a dedicated artists and Artisans Pavilion to showcase creativity ‘a la française’ at its best. All of these will also be local, as well as interstate, French and French-inspired creators and artisans.
Of course, France is known for its rich history of literature. The
Le Autheurs section will welcome acclaimed French authors and illustrators as well as authors inspired by France at Le Festival on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July where you can meet the authors and have your books signed.
Live entertainment (including the cheeky can-can dancers and French Polynesian dancers), French bar with a selection of French Champagnes, Mousseux Wines “Rouges, Banc et Rosés” as well as Frenchies Beer, Ricard Aperitif, Orangina, Oasis, Perrier, Evian.
The kids haven't been forgotten either. Perhaps take part in the “Mini-Olympiades” for the young ones. Be sure to also look out for Maurice, the official French festival mascot who will be roaming throughout the Festival wearing his French beret. Oh, la la.

Add to that a display of vintage cars and an Instabooth to take a selfie and capture a memory.
A series of masterclasses offer an immersive French experience to learn and understand the traditions and skills of some of the techniques and products which the French are known for. Maybe you would like to try your hand at:
The art of croissant making
The magic of champagne masterclass
Discover niche perfumes masterclass
Cheese tasting masterclass and more
(Note: Masterclasses incur a separate booking and cost to the Festival entry fees)
The Festival will coincide with one of France's biggest public holidays or
Fête nationale française,
Bastille Day , which is celebrated one week later on 14 July 2024 in Paris with a military parade, music, dancing and fireworks. And of course, it is an especially remarkable year for the French as they host the summer
Olympics in its capital, Paris from Friday, 26 July 2024 to Sunday, 11 August 2024. Voile!
