Take a self-guided visit to local participating farms and meet the local producers of the region's food and flowers at the Moreton Bay Farm Trail on 7 September 2024 .



The idea of the Moreton Bay Farm Trail is to inspire visitors by local farms doing great things and strengthen the connection between local agriculture, nature and community.

Some of the 12 farms you can visit are:
  • Samford Valley Lavender Farm
  • Red Fox Orchids
  • Blue Dog Farm and more

  • Highlights of the tour include
  • Markets with fresh produce
  • Flowers and plants
  • Farm animals and farm talks on the hour to share information about the background to the farms and the families behind them
  • Kids activities
  • the chance to buy locally from the grower

  • Check out the trail's website where you can a trail map to help plan your trip. The farms will be open from 9am to 4pm.

    Tickets range from free to $29.80.

    History of farming in Moreton Bay
    Moreton Bay, in Brisbane's north, was built on a rich farming tradition in a rich farming tradition. In fact, did you know that 57 percent of Queensland's sweet, luscious strawberries are grown in Moreton Bay!
