If you're looking for an awesome park to visit at the weekend or one afternoon, then make sure Mount Cotton Community Park is high up on your list. Suitable for kids of all ages and everything you could need all in the one location.

Based on Mount Cotton's Valley Way, the park features a brightly coloured undercover playground, full of tube slides, climbing walls, bridges, crawling tunnels and a huge spiderweb climbing area. And best of all? Most of the play equipment is built on sand so if accidents do happen, it's just a case of brush yourself off and dive back in.
Every time we visit, they seem to have expanded more and more, with the most recent addition of a flying fox, sand and water activity area, roundabout and a brand new, smaller playground for toddlers and bubs - again fully sheltered and sand based.
Why not take a bike ride on the long winding pathways or head on over to the small lake to feed the ducks and spot some local wildlife? And for older kids, the large basketball court and on site skate park is sure to be a hit!
The community park is also the ideal location to host a child's birthday party, as there is a large, sheltered eating area (complete with BBQs!) right next to the playground; so parents can sit and socialise whist easily keeping an eye on the kids.

There are toilet facilities on site, as well as a small row of cafes and shops, including a well stocked IGA, overlooking the park, and easily accessible by steps that lead off the main pathway.
Mount Cotton Community Park really is perfect for all the family- and that includes the four legged members too! With a large, fully enclosed, off leash area, complete with doggy play equipment and drinking bowls, your pooch will love to stretch his legs here and socialise with some new playmates.
