New Years Eve Guide 2019/2020

by Sally Foster (follow)
Family Friendly New Years Events

Can you believe it is already almost 2020? Where did that decade go! If you haven't yet planned how you are going to be bringing in the new year, here is a list of events and activities that are happening in and around Brisbane, to give you inspiration.

These events are all family friendly.

Please note that we could find no information on whether any fireworks have been cancelled due to fire bans. Check directly with the venue closer to the event time if you wanted to make sure.

New Year's Eve at South Bank

South Bank is one of the most popular spots to bring in the new year. The parklands are packed with so many dining options, including food trucks at the Cultural Forecourt that will be there from 11am, as well as playgrounds, the lagoon and splash area.

But the main reason that families love to bring in the new year at South Bank, is the spectacular firework shows set over the Brisbane River with views of the city and bridge. The family friendly firework show is on at 8:30pm, with another show on at midnight. The best vantage points are the Clem Jones Promenade, Streets Beach and River Quay.

For all your information on what to bring, what not to bring, parking, road closures and more, please find this helpful guide here.
