In our constant search for new parks, this week we visited Pelican Park in Clontarf. Located just off the Hornibrook Bridge in Brisbane's northside, this park offers a number of bonus add ons.

The fenced playground has equipment that is well suited to toddlers and young children, as well as a wheelchair accessible swing. The park itself has toilet amenities, barbeque facilities and plenty of shaded picnic areas.

There is daily pelican feeding at 10am located in front of the tourist information centre. It is however dependant on the pelicans each day. When we visited, the pelicans did not seem hungry enough to venture our way.

Do not forget to throw your bikes into the car when visiting Pelican Park. There is a beautiful ride along the shore, or if you are feeling up to it, you can ride back across the Hornibrook Bridge.

Another added bonus? The tranquil beach and cafes within walking distance. Nothing like some caffeine to keep this mummy happy!
