Even though I was a bit nervous about resuming exercise after having my baby, an initial phone consultation with the owner of Be in Blossom, completely put my mind at ease.
Briony is a physiotherapist and Pilates instructor, with over 15 years of experience focussing on women's health. She is knowledgeable, approachable and kind. She understands each of us has a unique body with different needs. She asked lots of questions about me, my birth and my body, so I knew that I would be in good hands.
Be in Blossom offers a variety of classes for both during and after pregnancy. She also has virtual classes in this COVID safe times.
The classes include:
- Core and Conditioning
- Move Mummy Move
- Pregnancy Core and Stretch
- Mummy bootcamp workshop
- Mummy core restore and baby massage workshop
- Pregnancy Circuit
Each class is designed to help you move your body in a safe environment where you can bring your baby with you. All classes are run by a registered physiotherapist and there is special attention paid to the pelvic floor and providing deep abdominal support. All classes are one hour and equipment is provided.
Classes are run at a range of days and times both during the day and in the evenings, so be sure to check out the timetable to see what suits your situation best.
Prices are also on the website and you can choose to purchase a block to keep things more affordable. There is an easy online booking system that you can use.
Have private health? Make sure to check if you can get a rebate! I very happily received a rebate, and thank goodness those extras I pay a fortune for finally came in handy.
If you do make some mum friends, which I am sure you will, there is a coffee shop next door that you can continue on your conversation. Parking is also a breeze, with plenty of parking on site.
