Who Cares for the Carers?
Screen Queensland and Seeding Time Pictures present, in association with Kym Melzer Productions, PTSD Love Stories, a bold, tender, and at times quirky and inspirational documentary that offers an unfiltered look into the lives of three remarkable women navigating love, identity, and the complex realities of caregiving.
PTSD Love Stories follows three remarkable women who are finding ways forward to love, to care and still be free to explore their identity and fulfill their own needs. Their stories shed light on mental health, intergenerational trauma, PTSD, suicide, and stigma in the workplace.
Produced and directed by Arun Ketsirat and produced and written by Kym Melzer, PTSD Love Stories invites the audience into the private spaces where trauma is held, and reminds us that healing begins when we choose to see and to stand beside the unseen.
Following a successful half-hour broadcast on ABC Compass (reaching 465,000+ viewers and over 9,000 streams on iView), the full-length feature version of PTSD Love Stories, financed with the assistance of Documentary Australia, can be viewed in person or online this June.
Take part in these events and help spotlight carers' stories and the urgent need for better recognition and support.
