Programs just for babies and kids

The Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, or [Link QAGOMA], is one of the best places to visit in Brisbane with babies and kids. Or without of course, if you ever have a rare day to yourself or your partner! Located in beautiful South Brisbane, there are tons of public transport options to get there, as well as lots of other cool places to visit and eat nearby.

But did you know that QAGOMA also ran free programs and events just for your babies and kids?

The Children's Art Centre is free to visit and features interactive installations, artist projects and activities for kids and families done by incredible local and international artists. Entry is free! They also have a range of free booked programs developed especially for children under 5 years of age.

[Link Art Starters] has been designed for babies aged 4-12 months, including their parents and carers. It gives you the opportunity to explore art with your bub with a walking tour and a multi-sensory interactive play session. The guided walk is 45 minutes, you can have your baby in a pram or carrier, and it is interesting for you and engaging for your baby.

[Link Art Play Date] has been designed for babies and children aged 1-3 years. It is a programs using sing movement, song and sensory play with a focus on elements such as colour, texture, sound and movement. It is a good introduction for children on art. Each session is 45 minutes long, including 20 minutes of unstructed play with a variety of sensory objects.

[Link Art Explorers], formerly toddler Tuesdays, has been designed for children aged 3-5 years and uses games, storytelling and activities to make learning about art fun. Each session is 45 minutes and focusses on a different art exhibit.
