Riverside Green Playground, Southbank

by Sally Foster (follow)
Southbank's own playground

I go to Southbank a lot with my family. Especially in summer for the excellent water play. With Aquativity and Streets Beach, we could stay there for hours. But in the cooler months, or when we don't want to get wet, there is still lots of play options in this incredible place.

Riverside Green Playground is very near to Streets Beach and an awesome playground as there is equipment there for all ages. It has spectacular views of the Brisbane River and is super close to coffee and food options.

The play equipment includes:

Pirate Ship
Double Swing
Sky Walk
Giant hamster wheel

The skywalk with ropes, tunnels and connecting slides is definitely for the older, more adventurous children. If you have a climber, they will be in absolute heaven. They can run up the embankment and scale the, quite high, skywalk and feel on top of the world.

The pirate ship and swings are perfect for toddlers and the smaller children. There is a rubber matting bottom that is great for any spills or falls and it is partially shaded for the really hot Brisbane weather. The pirate ship also has wheelchair access.

Riverside Green Playground has tons of equipment, in bright colours and is a huge draw card for kids and families in Brisbane. It is well worth a visit next time you are in Southbank.
