Rose and Edward Espresso, Windsor

by Sally Foster (follow)
A great little local with fantastic coffee and personalised service

A visit to Rose and Edward Espresso in the lovely northside suburb of Windsor, will leave you feeling content, full and maybe a little buzzed from the excellent coffee. You will be welcomed straight away by the warm and friendly staff and whisked to a table where your service will be prompt and the food delivered will be delicious.

The food is consistently excellent and the menu has been thoughtfully planned to maximise nutrition, flavour and appeal to a broad range of tastes. There is nothing boring about wholemeal pancakes with caramelised pineapple, greek yoghurt, toasted cashews and a drizzling of honey. There is everything yummy about the smashed omellete which is chocked full of vegetables and pesto and served with toast and shaved parmesan.

Rose and Windsor cater to coffee and health addicts, but they also cater to kids, with their menu for the little ones designed with new age kids in mind. Simple, yet not boring, kids can feast on avo toast, wholewheat pancakes or even overnight oats with pear, raspberries and coconut yoghurt. Kids menu items start at $5.

Kids will also love the thoughtfully laid out kids corner which has ample room for them to spread out on cushions and enjoy the provided books, games and toys. Parents can watch over them easily, while also being able to sit back and enjoy a cuppa.

I would recommend Rose and Windsor for a lazy weekend breakfast, a quick coffee fix during the week or a mothers group meet up. There is space for prams and the staff will always make you feel welcome. And you definitely won't leave hungry! Another great thing about Rose and Windsor is that they understand our children wake up at the crack of dawn and cannot always wait until 7:30am for breakfast, which is when a lot of cafes open. They throw open their doors at 5:30am to those sleep deprived and hungry amongst us.

Location: 110 Maygar Street Windsor
Opening Hours: Open Monday to Saturday 5:30am to 2:30pm and Sundays 5:30am to 12pm.
