Directly across the road from the lagoon, the playground has lots of shade from the many trees, plus two shelter sheds for picnics. The playground has a wood chip bottom and the brand new equipment includes:
Small and large fort
See-Saw and Rockers
The Australian animal themed playground is not fenced but is set back from the road. There is also parking on site and toilets nearby.
The best part about this playground is its position from the lagoon. Straight across the road, you can take your little ones to see the many birds and even some turtles in the beautiful water.
There is a track around the lagoon which is popular with runners and bikes, so your kids can go for a scooter or bike ride. It is flat and paved with some pretty views.
The playground is very close to Sandgate Village, including the very popular pond with LOTS of ducks and turtles. So if you don't see any at the lagoon, you will see them here 100%.
You can find this playground at 122 Brighton Road in Sandgate on Brisbane's northside.
