If you've ever wondered what it would be like to play in a two-story, 20 metre square art installation made of packing tape, then look no further. Tapescape is an unique space for children to play.

What? U.S. artist Eric Lennartson has designed and created a play space with 56,000 metres of packing tape and the results are incredible! Even better? The event is exclusive to the Ipswich Art Gallery this Summer.

Where? The Ipswich Art Gallery is a 40 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD and located at d’Arcy Doyle Place, Ipswich. Parking is available under the Ipswich City Mall under Bremer Parade and the first 3 hours are free on weekdays. At the moment the Mall has a beautiful Christmas set up which is worth a stroll through too.
When? Tapescape runs from 05 Dec 2016 - 26 Feb 2017 and the gallery is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Ipswich Art Gallery will close 24th December 2016 and reopen 2nd January 2017.
Cost of Entry: Cost of entry is $5 per person or $8 including TapeScape Socks.
$15 for a Family Pass (Admits up to 5 people and must include at least 1 adult).
Free for babies and toddlers under 2 years.
Good to Know:
Tapescape is recommended for all ages 2 to 12 years but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
To enjoy Tapescape you will need to wear socks.
It's worth calling ahead to check if any school groups are coming through when you are heading in as it can get crowded and overwhelming for young children.
There is a small Tapescape for the Under 2's.
Other exhibits current at the Ipswich Art Gallery include the Construction Site, which is fantastic for kids.
