The perfect school holiday activity

Toombul Shopping Centre has been given yet another amazing facelift, with the new '[Link https://www.toombul.com.au/whats-on/discover/upstairs Upstairs at Toombul], now open, just in time for the summer holidays. I went to check it out on the weekend and was absolutely blown away with how much there is to do there.

There are a number of new eateries open, including dumplings, burgers, ramen, pasta and a couple of lovely cafes, including Max Brenner, which is heaven for chocolate lovers. The open plan dining means that you feel like you are not in a shopping centre, but a modern dining precinct. It is now a great place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner, so you don't have to head into the city for a great time out.







If you have kids, they will LOVE the 'popcorn' ball pit outside of the upgraded cinema. Kids can take a dip in the pit before swinging on the very cool neon swings and slides, and even have a boogie in the mirrored disco room. There is also a small slide and lots of turf patches for chilling out with your little ones with a coffee.



Head outside on a hot day and your kids can have a splash in the water play area where there are fountains shooting water. In fact, the upstairs is now a great place for a mother's group meet up because of all the fun kid spaces it has to offer.









But arguably the best part about the new Upstairs is the Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq. It is a circus-slash-arcade bar and restaurant, offering everything from vintage arcade games and dodgem cars to cocktails topped with fairy floss. It will be hugely popular with both small kids, teenagers and even adults.

As well as arcade games, dodgem cars and cocktails, there is a small bowling alley, a rollercoaster simulator and lots of yummy food to eat. It is a great place for a date with a difference, or somewhere you can send your teens to have some fun with their friends. It is a nostalgic and fun space that has been done so amazingly well, a true credit to Toombul.











All of this, as well as the cinemas, means that Toombul is now an awesome destination for your shopping, dining and entertainment needs. Definitely worth checking out this school holidays!
