Ah, the Aussie backyard – the cherished slice of paradise that's been a staple of our laid-back lifestyle. It's that special corner of our world where we kick back, sip a cold one, and enjoy the great outdoors – or at least our version of it, complete with a couple of native birds fighting over the last sausage on the barbie. Imaginarium at Bribie Island Seaside Museum invites you to dive into the weird and wonderful world of backyards from way back when to the snazzy spaces of the future.

Now, when we conjure up the classic Aussie backyard on Bribie Island, we picture sun-soaked days, friendly games of cricket, some chooks scratching around looking for crumbs, and maybe the odd kangaroo wondering why it didn't get invited to the party.
