Thompson Estate Reserve is a brand new playground in Greenslopes. It is an all ages playground with all the equipment that a great playground needs to provide hours of fun.
Thompson Estate Reserve Playground is fenced, with a soft bark bottom and plenty of shade for those hot Brisbane days. There is also a shaded picnic area with barbecues next door to the playground if you are looking for somewhere to have a picnic or even a party.
The play equipment includes a number of slides and forts, swings, a play shop, rockers and spinners, climbing nets and other climbing equipment. It will keep the kids busy for hours and provide lots of opportunity for imagination play and practising climbing skills.
But the best part about this playground? It is right next to Monkey Bar!
Monkey Bar is an excellent cafe with another children's play area. The cafe is within view of the playground so it is perfect for a mothers group or family gathering. Monkey Bar also has tons of space for pram parking, a fantastic kids menu and truly amazing coffee. You can either eat and drink there, or grab a takeaway and head to the playground.
If you want to read a full review from a Brisbane Mum about Monkey Bar, see here.
You and your family are invited to a Photography for Parents Workshop on Sunday 28th April at New Farm Park.
You can reach this playground and the cafe by car, but street parking can get busy on the weekends. It is also nearby to a bike path and busway. Find out more information on transport to the playground and cafe here.
