Explore the amazing wonders of science, culture and creativity at this World Science Festival Brisbane from 21 to 30 March 2025.



This year marks the 10thanniversary of the always fascinating, always insightful and slightly geeky World Science Festival Brisbane which opens the door to scientific discovery and mindblowing information and experiences. To give you a taste of how the festival will spark your imagination, this year’s theme is, Infinite Awe.

By its own admission the festival "... takes science out of the laboratory and into the streets, parks, museums, galleries and performing arts venues of Brisbane and regional Queensland." By bringing some of the world’s greatest minds to Queensland, it helps to deepen the public’s connection to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and helps change how people see and engage with science.



In a jam-packed 10-day program, the Festival will unravel the mysteries behind some of the burning questions facing and already uncovered by using scientific discovery with over 90 events across some 300 sessions.

Some of the famous faces helping to uncover the scientific truths are:

The Schools Program support young minds exploring science in sessions Labs Unlocked and Spacebot Science wit its space robots.



Beyond Brisbane, events will be also held in the Queensland towns and communities of Ipswich, Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Gladstone and Townsville.

The Program includes free and ticketed events across a number of venues such as Queensland Museum, QPAC , QUT Gardens Point, Griffith University and many more. Check the full program here for details.
