Cinderella is making a comeback in this Ballet of Lights show, where dancers in glowing costumes spin around the stage like human glow sticks, giving the old fairytale a modern glow-up. You will see the evil stepsisters hamming it up for laughs, the royal ball in all its flashy glory, and the prince and Cinders falling for each other, all told through dance, bright colours, and plenty of light. Four talented performers handle the whole story to a soundtrack of classical hits, blending classic ballet with a cheeky contemporary edge that is fun for families.
It runs about 60 minutes with no interval, doors open 30 minutes early, and latecomers are out of luck. Aimed at ages 5 and up, with kids under 16 needing an adult chaperone. The QUT Gardens Theatre at 2 George Street in Brisbane City is wheelchair accessible, and seats go on a first come first served basis within zones, so turning up early is a smart move. Catch it on May 23, 2026.
