Bush Kindy is a wonderful opportunity for young children to learn about nature and also socialise and learn with their peers. There are plenty of Bush Kindys available throughout Brisbane. The purpose of bush kindy is to encourage sensory-based nature play by spending time outdoors doing art and craft, bushwalks, having storytime and more.

Suitable for ages 0-5 years, the Downfall Creek Bush Kindy offers a range of nature-based sensory play and activities to keep children entertained and engaged within the surroundings of Raven Street Reserve

Where: 815 Rode Road, McDowall
When: Mondays 10am to 11am

Suitable for ages 0-5 years, the Karawatha Discovery Park Bush Kindy lets your children take part in nature play, art ‘n’ craft, bushwalks, story-time and much more. There are also opportunities for exercise classes on certain days directly following bush kindy where parents and kids can exercise together.

When: Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Fridays 10am to 11am

Suitable for ages 0-5 years, the Boondall Environment Centre offers a range of nature-based sensory play and activities to keep children entertained and engaged within the surroundings of the very diverse Wetlands.

When: Thursdays 10am to 11am
How Much: FREE but bookings are essential

Bush Explorers is suitable for ages 0-6 years. It is a play based learning experience giving children the opportunity to become comfortable with the forest. Children can enjoy bush walking, forest exploration, knowledge of our native wildlife and growing a love and appreciation for natural places.

When: Fridays 9:30am to 11:30am
Where: Bunyaville Conservation Park Off Old Northern Road Everton Hills
How Much: $15 per child and bookings essential.
