Whether you love the theme parks of the Gold Coast, or the pristine beaches of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland has the best beaches. Holidays at home have never been more important either!

So if you are planning a trip and need some inspiration from where to stay that is kid friendly, here is your list of recommendations straight from Brisbane Mums Group.

Gold Coast

1. Wyndham Hotel in Surfers Paradise

Centrally located in the heart of the Gold Coast's tourist hub, only a short stroll from shops, food and beaches.

2. Big 4 Holiday Park in Helensvale

"The big 4 at helensvale is right across from movieworld. It has a great water park, pool and bar with restaurant right next to the pool" - BMG Member

The nearest caravan park to the Gold Coast Theme Parks, located across the road from Movie World, Wet'n'Wild, Outback Spectacular, Topgolf and a two minutes’ drive from Dream World & White Water World.

3. Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast

4. Turtle Beach Resort in Mermaid Beach

"Turtle Beach at Mermaid is a great family friendly resort. Several family pools, and a couple of adults only ones too. Kids Club. Mini Golf." - BMG Member

"Turtle beach resort at mermaid beach gold coast has 3 different pool areas for kids spent a couple of days there with my 2 and a half year old grandson and a 13 year old" - BMG Member

Turtle Beach resort has four separate swimming areas, including wading pools, spas and an adults only retreat. The resort even has its very own Splash Zone Waterpark.

5. SeaWorld Resort

"The water play in the park and at the hotel is perfect for little people" - BMG Member

You can't get any closer to one of the best theme parks on the Gold Coast than the Sea World Resort.

Sunshine Coast

1. Oaks Oasis Caloundra

"The water park was great for our toddler (3 years old) with a shallow wadding pool surrounding it. The area was fenced and had lounges and seating for the adults with pool side drinks and food available. There were also playgrounds, a jumping pillow and mini golf. It’s a short walk to safe and sheltered beaches and Woolies right across the road for supplies if needed." - BMG Member

"My parents recently took my 2 kids (5&just3) to oaks resort in Caloundra. Huge playground and splash park and a big bouncy thing in the ground. They said rooms were great brekky great and you can order food by the pool" - BMG Member

2. RACV Resort in Noosa

" I love RACV Noosa! Super family friendly and everything you could need is right there in the resort. 7 minute drive to Hastings street if you want some actual Noosa/beach adventures" - BMG Member

" Beach access straight from resort, no crossing road. Heated kids pool, deeper pool for adults. Fish n chip shop, gelato shop, bar and coffee shop under the resort. Just perfect" - BMG Member

Beachfront location at Kings Beach, relax in the 60 metre pool with wading area for the little ones, enjoy a barbecue with family and friends or make use of the games room or fitness room.

4. Mantra Mooloolaba

"We stay at the mantra Mooloolaba. There’s an indoor pool so we can stay out of the sun and it’s warm enough for the 18m old to stay in for longer than 5 mins. Walking Sm distance to beach, restaurants and sealife centre" - BMG Member

With an observation deck leading onto an outdoor pool, spa and gazebo sound. There is also a sauna as well as a fully equipped gym. Close to the beachfront and attractions such as Australia Zoo, Sea Life Mooloolaba or the famous Eumundi Markets.

5. Gemini Resort in Golden Beach

"Gemini towers at golden beach caloundra. Great sized rooms, pool with water slide, calm water with sand to play in, park next to it and cafes within walking distance. A really great location for younger kids." - BMG Member

Gemini Resort overlooks the Pumicestone Passage, and directly adjacent to stretches of tranquil parklands. With no roads to cross to reach the calm waters and golden sands, the kids will love it here.
