Framing Children's Memories

You have heard the saying ' time is a thief '. You have also probably been told to enjoy every moment with your bubs as they won't be bubs for long. It seems those tiny toes and noses do not stay little for as long as we would love. Yet, that doesn't mean we have to lose the image of those toes.

Looking back over my seven-year-old's baby book, I can't get enough of her first footprints or the ultrasound of her cute hand in utero. I am certain these images only increase in significance with each passing year. While pictures bring me bucketloads of joy, I truly wish I had seen the work of Impressionable Kids back then. I did spend well-invested money on quality newborn photos, but the mementos created by Impressionable Kids are a step up from my images.


Based on the Gold Coast and servicing from Brisbane to the Tweed, Impressionable Kids capture hand and feet sculptures of your children, first sunrises, collages incorporating the sculptures, name frames, birth mementos, and much more. My favorite would be the collage of bronzed sibling hand sculptures where a replica is made of each child's hand, bronzed, and stylishly framed together to capture that precious moment in time. What a gift to be able to hold on to those little hands for the rest of your and their lives. Life goes so quickly and yet, in these sculptures we have the chance to freeze time indefinitely.


The business has recently changed hands. The new owner, Monica, is a mum of three herself. I'm sure this means her little ones have been experimented and experimented AND EXPERIMENTED on to create new looks and perfection of art. I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek at some of the finished products recently and well, my mummy senses were delighted. As I said, I can only imagine how special a sculpture of your child's newborn hands and feet become when they turn ten, or twenty-one, or have kids of their own. I also love the fact you can have a sculpture made of the parents holding the child's hand or siblings holding hands. Does this make you smile? Me too.


There is great flexibility in what you can have framed or created as a free-standing item. It is worth sitting down with Monica to discuss your ideas and tastes with a view to designing something unique. Your children are unique. Their memories should also reflect this.


Prices range from around $100 to $400 depending on how many sculptures are created and what you are looking to include (images, nameplates, timber features, sunrises, etc). When you compare this to the cost of quality newborn photography, it makes a lot of sense to include this type of memento in the early years' budget. There is nothing cuter than those little fingers and toes. This is a universal parenting experience.
