Beans on the Green at Bardon Bowls Club is an absolute wonder. When they say they’re child friendly, they mean child friendly. We are not just talking a high chair or two either, there are toys galore!



The friendly team at Beans on the Green has amassed a great assortment of large toys to keep children occupied while their parents get their caffeine fix. There are a range of activity tables, coordination games and a kids kitchen; nothing small enough to go into little mouths so no need to fret whilst you enjoy your coffee!

As the café is outdoors, there are leaves everywhere and bits of dried grass littered about but the team keeps a wad of large cane mats to spread on the ground so children have a clean area to use. Parents often sit on the floor with their kids, drinking their coffee, newspapers spread out in front of them.



The ambiance is lovely- it is very friendly and community minded, with large trees and the bowling green spreading out in front. It is widely popular on the weekends, with even pets catered for.

As well as hot and cold drinks, food is also available however the menu itself is limited to toasted sandwiches, pastries and snacks from the fridge, but they all taste great. Best of all is their coffee, which tastes amazing and will keep the spring in the step of even the most exhausted parents- definitely one to check out!
