All eyes in Brisbane will be on the skies for a spectacular display of aviation culminating in one of the biggest and best fireworks displays in Australia for the 2025 Riverfire display on 6 September 2025.



It is a Saturday to remember when Riverfire entertainment kicks off at 4pm, working towards the explosive finale of fireworks blasting across the Brisbane CBD from 7pm. (Information and times for the Australian Defence Force aerial display will be available closer to the date of the event.)

If you can't make it into the see to see Riverfire in person, you can listen to the music broadcast on radio station Triple M and watch the Channel 9 free live coverage for all of the action.

Importantly, Riverfire starts the 23-day Brisbane Festival from 5 September to 27 September 27 with 106 productions, 1069 performances, and 2260 artists. An incredible 21 events in the program are world premieres, and more than 39 percent of the lineup is free.

If you can't get enough of a night of lights, the Brisbane Festival will also close with a three-dimensional multicoloured drone show called Skylore – Spirit of the Whale.



The illuminating eight-minute film featuring hundreds of drones tells the ancient story of Nieergoo through light, sound and movement, guided by Traditional Owner Shannon Ruska and Tribal Experiences, with a stirring original score by Guy Webster.

The show can be seen at South Bank and Queen’s Wharf with sessions at 7:15pm, 8:15pm and 9:15pm each night on September 25, 26 and 27.
