Learn and play all day

The [Link https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/Services/Environment/Environment-Centres/CREEC Caboolture Region Environment Centre], or CREEC for short, is a wonderful sensory, learning and play experience for children of all ages. With the Education Centre, two fenced playgrounds, an on site cafe, and nature walks, there is always something to go back for.

CREEC is set in a natural environment amongst native vegetation. It is a great place for a full family day out, as you can pack a picnic and take advantage of the BBQ's and picnic areas.









There is an all abilities playground that is fenced for the kids to run around in, with a bike track around it so that they can zoom around to their hearts content. The playground also features a flying fox, swings, tunnels, merry go round. There is also another fully fenced playground that is shaded.

If you are a green thumb, there is a nursery, where you can ask the helpful staff to assist you in picking out some gorgeous native trees.

If you are feeling energetic, there are nature trails to explore. The self guided walks range from a 400m track up to a 1.5km walk. It is a true sensory experience as there are built in frog ponds, stingless bee hives, windmills, sensory gardens and you can even spot some native wildlife if you are lucky. Guides are available at the centre.

The Education Centre is a lot of fun for kids as well. Here kids can learn about nature and the environment in a hands on way. There is a kids corner with books, colouring in, puzzles, butterfly collections and natural things to touch and explore.

If you want to pick up a coffee or a snack, the cafe is there too so you can get your caffeine fix while your kids play. It is a win win for all!
