So, there is this thing happening called State Schools Onstage, and it is setting up shop at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 July. Apparently, it is Queensland's annual big show for young performing artists, which means it is not just a few kids quietly doing a number. We are talking over two thousand young singers, dancers, and musicians getting up on stage. That is a lot of stage presence to behold.

They say this arena style production is quite the spectacle, showcasing the impressive talent bubbling away in our state schools. Think less school hall assembly and more professional level performance, with a few actual professional artists joining the fun to make sure everyone is on their toes. It is probably a decent way to spend some time if you are looking for something that will inspire the kids, or just avoid having to referee another family board game.
