Fairy Tales invite us to engage our vivid imaginations like the idea of a young girl like Alice falling down a rabbit warren.
Fairy Tales offer a world of enchantment and discovery telling stories of Cinderella, unconditional love as in Beauty and the Beast, and the repression of Rapunzel.
With this in mind, the
Fairy Tales exhibition will showcase the works of artists, filmmakers and designers through painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, film and film elements, props, costumes, and fashion, including characters such as wicked witches, brave princes and enchanting princesses, and magical animals.
One of the headline pieces in the exhibit will be a twisted, eerie leafless woodland commission by Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira. His works have been described as an observation of the relationship between the built environment and the power of nature.

the shifting role of gender and otherness
tales of bravery and justice, loyalty and humility, cunning and aspiration
