Animal encounters in and around Brisbane that won't break the bank

Hands up who's kid loves animals? I can safely assume that every single person reading this raised their hands. Kids love animals and the joy of seeing their little faces light up when they hold a bunny or pat a sheep is incredible.

But if you are just looking for a short animal encounter that is free or cheap and doesn't require a dedicated day trip, then give one of these a go:

This indoor outdoor Ipswich Cafe with a great playground also has a connecting Environmental Education Centre where you can view animals such as bilbies, wombats and quolls

As well as stores, nursery, farmers market and lake, the Lifestyle Centre plays host to ducks, chicken, goats, sheep and donkeys.

This remarkable pet store in the Redlands, has a local animal farm for kids to come and experience the farm life by seeing goats, ponies, chickens, and sheep.
